All Suraj Wood acrylic panels are available in three thicknesses: 1mm, 1.5mm, and 3mm. The right choice depends on your application, substrate, and project requirements.
1mm Acrylic Panels
1mm is the most common specification for residential kitchen shutters and wardrobes. Applied over 18mm MDF, it provides excellent surface quality at the most economical price point. Ideal for projects where cost-efficiency is important without compromising on finish quality.
1.5mm Acrylic Panels
The 1.5mm specification is our most popular choice for premium residential and commercial projects. The additional thickness provides a noticeable improvement in surface rigidity and a more luxurious feel when touching or opening cabinet doors. Recommended for high-end modular kitchen projects.
3mm Acrylic Panels
3mm panels are specified for demanding commercial applications, high-traffic hospitality interiors, and projects requiring maximum impact resistance. The 3mm acrylic layer is also used for decorative wall cladding and feature panels where structural integrity matters. At this thickness, the panel can be edge-polished for a premium exposed-edge detail.
Choosing Your Substrate
All three thicknesses are available on 18mm MDF (standard) or 12mm HDF (for applications requiring lighter weight or higher density). For commercial wall cladding, panels can also be supplied on 6mm or 9mm substrates — please enquire with our sales team.
